Turboprop vs jet - same size turbine?

Basically, if you took two turbojet engines with equal thrust output, and were simply able to convert one to a "turboprop" configuration, the turboprop would put out significantly more thrust. As mentioned already, turboprops tend to be more efficient. However, they do have drawbacks, including creating more drag.
