Do St. Ives products expire?

Hi, I was just wondering, Do St. Ives products expire? My dermatologist told me to buy their scrub, but I already have the Apricot Scrub at home. But, I haven't used it in around 2-4 years so I'm thiking its not safe. But it also doesn't have an expiration date on the bottle. (It's a mini free sample size btw) I got it for $1. lol : )
