My blinkers dont work on my 89 thunderbird and i think its my flashers but i cant find out where it is?

I've found a lot of blinkers under the dash - located near the fuses by the steering column. It can be VERY awkward looking under there. Blinkers can be shaped like round or square plug-ins about the size of a good sized (silver/metal)cork. A flashlight can be a big help. If nothing else, you can call a Ford parts dealer during business hours. Auto Zone or Parts America always are anxious to help ( -- they know you're in need). Wonder if you might have a fuse out? I always check cheapest repairs first -- fuses are cheaper to replace than the signal/blinker box.
