You shouldn't have led him to believe you really wanted to be pick up. You should have said, while you were texting, that you where just kidding and that you'll see him tomorrow. People sometimes take things seriously, especially if you express feelings with what you say. Just tell him you're sorry and that you didn't mean to mislead him.
